My diagnosis came on May 3, 2021. It always sounds a little crazy, but I kind of felt in my bones the news from the biospy taken at the end of April would not be good.

The surprising part was the type - Triple Negative. A kind that at the time of my diagnosis required a very aggressive approach: chemo immediately followed by a double mastectomy. I did not receive a complete response to the chemo, and had to do oral chemo as well.

I finished my treatments & reconstruction in June the following year. I am here to say there IS life after cancer. And it's worth celebrating. Let's celebrate life together.
